If you live in or anywhere near NYC, and you haven’t been to Human’s Best Friend , you need to go. Like right now.
While pop-ups are nothing new, this one isn’t like anything you’ve ever seen before. That’s because it’s a magical utopia especially made for dogs and their favorite humans. What’s more, designers and dog lovers Jason Sherwood and Brian Tovar created Human’s Best Friend as way to connect members of the dog community and help rescue dogs find their forever homes.
It doesn’t get much better than that, but if you need any more convincing, here are 5 reasons Human’s Best Friend is the pop-up we all deserve.
1. You get to go on an adventure with some awesome adoptable dogs
Upon entering Human’s Best Friend, you and your pup will be greeted by some of the sweetest and friendliest rescue dogs that are just looking for their person. You can even invite them to join your group as you venture through the collection of colorful rooms.
2. Dogs can “eat” a yummy steak dinner
So, you and your dog don’t get to actually eat a steak dinner in this room. However, your pup can pose for a picture and pretend he’s dining at his favorite steakhouse, which is the next best thing.
3. Pups get to play in a swimming pool full of tennis balls
Whether your dog is a mermaid lover or is in need of a tropical vacation, he can fulfill his water fantasies in this paradise of bright-blue balls.
4. Humans and dogs can visit “The Rainbow Bridge”
For many attendees, “The Rainbow Bridge” is the most memorable and touching part of the pop-up, as it’s a tribute to all our furry friends in heaven.
5. Did we mention there’s a toy pit?!
Last, but certainly not least, pups get to dive into a pit full of soft, cuddly, and stylish plush dogtoys! If that’s not a dog’s dream, we don’t know what is.
Human’s Best Friend is open until November 12 th in NYC, so there’s still time to check it out and have a blast with your dog and his puppy pals. Have you been to Human’s Best Friend? Which room sounds the most fun to you? Let us know in the comments below.
